Things we do:
Del Rio, Texas
Val Verde Humanitarian Border Coalition
Provide God’s love, basic provisions, and a snack to released asylum seekers.
Assist Tiffany (center director) with intake procedures.
Pray with and over migrants as they prepare to continue their journey in the US.
Cook and serve lunch and Pray with Border Patrol (optional/additional fee)
Acuña, Mexico
Estrella de Belen (two locations) - facilitate church services or kids/adult education classes
Prayer walks around neighborhoods and schools
Minister at Centauro Shelter (at-risk homeless, special needs, drug rehab)

Packing List
Included:
Dinner on the day of arrival, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner on work days, and Light breakfast on the day of departure.
Please advise of any food intolerances!
Coffee/Water/Tea included - other beverages on your own.
Dorm-style accommodations (separate M/F rooms & bathrooms/showers) - the facility will include basic bedding but many prefer to bring their own bedding/pillows.
Family bedrooms may be available as space permits.
What To Bring:
Bible & Notebook
Cash/credit card for non-included meals and personal purchases. The store in Mexico we support accepts USD.
IF GOING INTO MEXICO: Passport, Driver’s License, or Birth Certificate
Bath towel/washcloths / Personal toiletries / Optional: Sleeping bag or twin sheets / pillow
Water Bottle / Personal Boxed / Bagged Snacks.
Modest clothing / Hat & Sunscreen (people sunburned in November!) / Closed-toed shoes for certain work activities.
Any prescription medication (if applicable)
